Join the Quantum Engineering and Photonics (QEP) Group

We are actively recruiting motivated students at all levels to work on research in quantum sensing, quantum information, integrated photonics, and quantum systems engineering. Our projects span theory, hardware, and system-level integration, with strong emphasis on interdisciplinary training and real-world impact.

Prospective students are encouraged to review the available projects below and contact me with a brief introduction and relevant background.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Undergraduate projects focus on building strong foundations in experimental systems, simulation, and instrumentation. These projects are designed to be accessible while contributing to active research directions.

M.S. Research Opportunities

M.S. students are expected to engage in advanced research involving algorithm development, system modeling, and experimental or computational implementation. These projects may lead to thesis work and publications.

Ph.D. Research Opportunities

Ph.D. research focuses on developing new architectures and technologies for scalable quantum systems, combining theoretical innovation with hardware realization.

Application

If you are interested in joining the group, please email:

  • A brief introduction
  • CV (if available)
  • Relevant coursework or research experience
  • Specific project(s) of interest
